OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY
At Bethell-Thompson, we are not just showcasing art, we are creating a movement. As a femme-led space, we prioritise and celebrate the voices and works of women, Caribbean, African, and diaspora artists. Our mission is to build a vibrant and inclusive art eco-system that not only promotes cultural exchange and exposure, but also fosters creativity and connection through art.

We aspire to be more than just a gallery. We strive to be a platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work and build a supportive community that uplifts their voices. As we recognise and celebrate the contributions of established artists and seek to uncover tomorrow's trailblazers, we invite you to join us on this journey.

We understand that collaboration and partnership are key to achieving our shared goals, which is why we strive to work with other organisations and institutions to further promote and support diverse perspectives and artistic traditions. We are dedicated to creating dynamic and innovative spaces that inspire and empower artists from all backgrounds and experiences.

Join us in our mission to create a cross-cultural art community, where creativity thrives and artists' voices are heard. We invite you to be part of our movement towards a better, more connected, and more expressive world through the power of art.
